MATCH PREVIEW
Frimpong poised for Cottagers bow
Emmanuel Frimpong is in line to make his Fulham debut in Wednesday's Barclays Premier League clash with West Ham.
The 21-year-old joined on loan from Arsenal on Friday and could now face the Hammers, while fellow midfielder Simon Davies is back in training after a sustained period on the sidelines.
Kieran Richardson (calf), Mahamadou Diarra (knee) and Kerim Frei (pelvis) are all absent for the Craven Cottage clash.
Frimpong does not believe anybody should be panicking about his new club's current predicament.
After a bright start to the campaign, the Cottagers are in the midst of a sticky patch and sit 14th in the Barclays Premier League standings, just six points off the drop zone.
Martin Jol's men have only won two of their last 15 league games and will be hoping for a change in fortunes against the Hammers.
Frimpong, who has joined on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season, could make his debut and thinks his new club will be fine.
"The lads are very calm," he told Fulham TV. "I think when you are in a position like Fulham are at the moment you need players to be calm and not to panic.
"Every team goes through a patch in the season when you're not getting results.
"As long as the manager and the team know there are players that can perform and it is only a little slip, I think we will be fine.
"We have some experienced players in the changing room, obviously the captain Brede Hangeland, Damien Duff and Dimitar Berbatov.
"You have got some very experienced players and I don't think we should start panicking yet. I think we will be fine."
West Ham striker Andy Carroll could return to the squad.
The on-loan Liverpool forward has been missing since November with a knee problem but could make the bench at Craven Cottage.
New signing Emanuel Pogatetz will go straight into the squad although George McCartney (knee), James Collins (hamstring) and Dan Potts (concussion) are all missing.
West Ham have recorded just one Premier League win in the last eight, and were thumped 5-1 at Arsenal in their previous fixture.
Allardyce has called for a response at Craven Cottage.
"We know what the players are capable of as they have proved it, but we have got to get them to that level of performance again," the Irons boss said.
"Fulham are in a similar situation to ourselves where performances have been good, but results haven't followed.
"It is all about winning football matches and we have both failed to do that.
"Too many draws have turned to losses and too many supposed wins have ended up as draws - particularly the last one against QPR when we battered them from start to finish."
