Top 25 Stock Watch: No change at No. 1; Georgetown vaults into top 10

  It might not seem like big news, but there is not a new No.1 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll for the first time since the calendar turned to 2013.

  No. 1 Indiana handled its only game of the week, but it was a big win at then-No.5 Michigan State. The Hoosiers claimed 28 of 31 first-place votes, nine more than a week ago, to strengthen their hold on the top ranking.

  But fret not, those of you who like poll chaos. The rest of the top five looks considerably different. Gonzaga climbed to the No. 2 spot, matching its highest ranking ever in the coaches poll, and picked up the other three No.1 votes. Duke and Michigan vaulted back into the top five, each climbing three positions to No.3 and 4, respectively. Kansas moved up four places to round out the top five.

  Stock went up in the poll: Georgetown

  The Hoyas only improved three spots in the poll from No. 11 to No. 8 but it's the first time in the top 10. A 57-46 road victory over rival Syracuse on Saturday shot Georgetown atop the Big East standings. The Hoyas, winners of 10 in a row, currently hold a one-game lead over Syracuse, Marquette and Louisville. Georgetown's Otto Porter has been getting considerable Big East Player of the Year consideration, while coach John Thompson III is a candidate for national coach of the year.

  Stock went down in the poll: Miami (Fla.)

  The Hurricanes dipped five spots from No. 2 to No. 7 after a stunning 80-65 loss to Wake Forest on Saturday. It was Miami's first ACC loss of the season and first losing effort since Christmas. The Hurricanes' demise could have been forecasted, having barely escaped with a four-point win against Virginia and a two-point victory against Clemson.

  Stock went up in the poll: Saint Louis

  The Billikens jumped into the poll at No. 19, debuting in the top 25 rankings for the first time since early in the 2011-12 season. Saint Louis seized control of the Atlantic 10 by defeating both VCU and Butler last week, the latter on the road.

  Stock went down in the poll: Michigan State

  The Spartans dropped five spots in the poll from No. 5 to No. 10 after back-to-back losses to Indiana and Ohio State last week. Michigan State was in the mix to land a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament last week and now will have some fighting to do to keep a No. 2 seed. The road doesn't get easier in the Big Ten, with matchups at Michigan and against Wisconsin up next.

  New kids on the block: Saint Louis, Saint Mary's and Akron

  College dropouts: Colorado State, Pittsburgh and Oregon.

  Team that doesn't belong in top 25: Butler

  Team that needs to be ranked: Middle Tennessee
