Livorno seal final spot in Serie A

Livorno on Sunday became the third and final team to win promotion to Serie A after beating Empoli 2-1 on aggregate in a two-leg play-off.

Joining Livorno in Italy's top-flight league will be Sassuolo and Hellas Verona, both promoted at the end of the regular season.

It marks a return to Serie A for Livorno, who were relegated in 2010.

The three clubs dropping down into Serie B are Pescara, Siena and Palermo.
